SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Bobcats (32-8) defeated the Trojans (26-15) 8-0 in six innings and picked up a second run rule victory in as many days.
After holding the Trojans scoreless in the top of the first inning, the Bobcats picked up where they left off from yesterday’s game.
Hannah Earls was walked and stole second base shortly after that. Piper Randolph then laid down a bunt and made it safely to first base while moving Earls to third base. JJ Smith then hit a home run to right field to clear the bases and bring in Vanderford and Bass. Katarina Zarate was then walked and Megan Kelnar hit a single to move her to second base. Sydney Harvey would ground out to end the inning and the Bobcats led 4-0 after one inning of play.
